The Arno Act

Supporting Those Who Serve Our Community

Built for Western New York’s First Responder Community, the Arno Act is dedicated to strengthening the safety, preparedness, and well-being of the men and women who bravely serve and protect our communities.

The Arno Act provides funding to support safety equipment, professional training, education, resources, and program development that help first responders stay prepared and protected while serving others.

The program is open to all first responder communities across WNY, including:

Fire departments
Law enforcement
Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Emergency dispatch and communications
